QUIETribe? What is that?

“I have always been attracted to a quiet life where reading and writing were central to my sanity. While my friends loved to be out and about, I enjoyed curling up to read, write or watch TV. Once I discovered hygge and realized there was a whole culture out there that loved the same lifestyle I did, I breathed a huge sigh of relief.  I was not alone. I’ve never looked back…”

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE BEAUTIFUL?

Surround yourself with beautiful things and do the things you love to do. Take the time to invest in yourself until you’ve created the life you want to live.

“Live a life you don’t need to take a vacation from.”

Jill Leberman

SURROUND yourself with beautiful things. DO the things you love to do. TAKE the time to invest in yourself. CREATE the life you want to live. WHAT do you consider beautiful? WHAT do you never grow tired of? WHAT do you unconditionally love? CHOOSE TO DO MEANINGFUL.  ACT by personal choice. ASKWILL this make my life better?  WILL this bring me closer to my goals or affirmations? DOES this suit me? DO I want to do this? WILL my heart be in this work?

CREATE A PERSONAL ZEN SPACE

Surround yourself in comfort, security and your favourite things. Keep one area:  your desk, your table, your easel as your sacred creative space. Have a space to retreat to. Listen to the call to recharge your energy.

AN INTROVERT HANGOVER IS A VERY REAL THING

Know where your energy comes from – when you have it the most so you can use it efficiently. Most people can only be creative for a few hours a day – use that time wisely. Know which things take the most of your energy? Know when you are the most productive? When will you need downtime to rest, rejuvenate and recharge? Know where you energy comes from, how you use it, and when you need to recharge it.

CHASE YOUR MUSE

GO OUT and chase the why?
GET AFTER the what?
FIND OUT who?
PURSUE the where?
ASK the world how?
INQUIRE about when?

“Life is messy. Tell your story.”

MAKE YOUR HOME YOUR COZY SPACE

Home is our steady source of calm and tranquility and should be our place of sanctuary.

INVEST IN CANDLES because there is just something about the warm glow of a candle to take away all of your stress and worries. MAKE YOUR BED EVERY DAY because the small act will make you feel productive right before you even start the day.  RENEW CRAFTING OR A DIY PROJECT for a sense of renewal and accomplishment.  Knitting a great source of stress relief.  DECLUTTER YOUR SPACES because a clean, clutter-free space will promote productivity and reduce stress while you spend more time in them. START WITH ONE PART OF ONE ROOM then expand.  REARRANGE YOUR BOOKSHELF or TIDY UP YOUR DESK before your tackle your whole office area.  TAKE A BATH because the warm water will relax your muscles, improve blood circulation and help you destress.  USE WARM LIGHTING and SOFT MUSIC to make everything tranquil.
