YOUR PEACE OF MIND (Quality of life practices)

Build and maintain your peace of mind with these quality of life practices.

MINDFUL MEDITATION – pick a time a day to just be quiet with your thoughts, focus inward and breathe. SELF MOTIVATION – Picture what would happen if you don’t take action.  Think a day, week, month or a year from now and visualize where you imagine you’ll be if you do and don’t take action. STRESS CONTROL – Realize that you can only control what you can change. If it’s beyond you making changes in yourself or actions, then it is beyond your control to change.  Stay with yourself.  Focus upon changing the things you can.  You will have to let go of the things you have no control over.

CONQUER FEAR – Put your fears into context.  What is the worst thing that can or will happen?  How likely is the most feared end to occur?  Do you have a contingency for that outcome?  How can you manage the worst case scenario?  What steps can you make in order to cope with the worst possible end result?

ANXIETY – Breathe.  Just keep breathing.  Let all thoughts flow through you like a watershed.  When you tense up and hold your breath, anxiety increases.  Breathe in and back out. CONFLICT – Choose your company with great thought.  You are the sum of the people you spend the most time with.  You are your friends.  Choose carefully who you surround yourself with.  HEALTH – Eat mindfully.  Move your body.  Laugh often.  Listen to music.  And turn out the lights at the end of the day.

6 WAYS TO KEEP PEACE AND BALANCE IN YOUR LIFE

“Set peace of mind as your highest goal and organize your life around it.” Brian Tracy

MEDITATION – Clear you mind every morning before you start your day.

COMMUNICATION – Apologize for mistakes and move on. Choose to forgive yourself, you’re human.

CREATIVITY – Engage in a craft or hobby (anything) that bring deep feelings of peace and relaxation.

ACTIVITY – Take fifteen minutes to move your body.

ACCEPTANCE – Focus on what you appreciate the things in your life instead of wishing they would change.

SOLITUDE – Take time to enjoy your own company.

It’s your mind.  Be at peace with it.
